Movie Screening at the Embassy
On October 11 the Embassy of the Russian Federation hosted another movie screening of the series organized in cooperation with the Carmel Institute of Russian Culture and History for American students.
This time the choice was made in favor of the famous Soviet movie “the White Sun of the Desert” by Vladimir Motyl. The event gathered a record number of guests, most of them being students and professors from several universities of the metropolitan region.
We believe that such a vivid interest to the Soviet classics indicates that Americans are really eager to learn more about the Russian culture and history, which means that they want to have a better understanding of and with our country.
That is why we think that these events are extremely important in developing cooperation in the cultural sphere between Russia and the USA, as well as in promoting people-to-people dialogue.
