International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
ℹ️ The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is intensely observed in Russia on 26 June. Every year a broad range of activities are carried out on that day to develop a healthy lifestyle among the population, primarily the youth, under such slogans as “Children against Drugs – "I Choose Sport”, “Sport – YES! Drugs – NO!”, etc.
This year, in the run-up to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking our country for the first time organized the All-Russia Counter-Drugs and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion Month. Over 3,600 preventive, sporting, cultural and awareness-raising events, forums and exhibitions were held across Russia to encourage a healthy lifestyle and inculcate in society a negative attitude toward non-medical use of drugs.
ℹ️ The All-Russia Counter-Drugs Month is planned to be held on a yearly basis.
