We consider the development of Russian-American scientific and technological partnership to be in the interests of both our countries. The current level of bilateral cooperation in these fields, to our regret, does not fully reflect its potential.
In this regard the signing of joint statement between the Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos, and NASA on Researching, Exploring Deep Space is an important example of how our countries, should they combine their potentials, can move forward in resolving ambitious tasks.
The project of creating a new international station “Deep Space Gateway” in the vicinity of the Moon can become an important cooperation step in the field of manned spaceflight. It will become a logical continuation to the International Space Station as a platform for productive cooperation and partnership based on equality of its members, mutual trust and respect. We believe that our countries will have other major projects, which will allow not only to change the atmosphere of bilateral relations, but also to make a significant contribution to the development of Russian-American economic cooperation.
