E-Visas

To enter the Far Eastern Federal District, Kaliningrad Region, Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region nationals of some countries can apply for a single-entry common business (purpose of visit is business), common tourist (purpose of visit is tourism) and common humanitarian visa (purposes of visit are sports, cultural, scientific and technological relations) e-visa at evisa.kdmid.ru (a special-purpose website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for obtaining e-visas). Please click on the countries (in blue) for the appropriate region and it will state the list of related countries. An e-visa is free of charge. Please fill out an e-visa application no later than 4 days before the intended date of the entry into Russia. An e-visa will be issued for a stay up to 8 days starting from the date of entry that is valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue. 

E-visa will be used for entering and leaving the Russian Federation at the following checkpoints at the state border of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Kaliningrad Region, Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region:

1. Air checkpoints «Vladivostok (Knevichy Airport)», «Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo Airport)», «Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo Airport)», «Blagoveschensk», «Khabarovsk (Novy Airport)», «Anadyr (Ugolny Airport)», «Kaliningrad (Khrabrovo)», «Ulan-Ude (Muhino)», «Chita (Kadala)», «Pulkovo».

2. Naval checkpoints «Vladivostok», «Zarubino», «Posiet», «Korsakov», «Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky», «Kaliningrad (checkpoints in the cities of Kaliningrad, Baltiysk and Svetly)», «Vysotsk», «Big port Saint Petersburg (Marine Station)», «Passenger port Saint Petersburg».

3. Railroad checkpoints «Pogranichny», «Khasan», «Makhalino», «Mamonovo», «Sovetsk».

PLEASE NOTE: Entry to and exit from the territory of Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on an e-visa by means of rail transport is currently unavailable.

4. Automobile checkpoints «Poltavka», «Turiy Rog», «Bagrationovsk», «Gusev», «Mamonovo (Grzechotki)», «Mamonovo (Gronowo)», «Morskoje», «Pogranichny», «Sovetsk», «Chernyshevskoye», «Ivangorod», «Torfjanovka», «Brusnitchnoe», «Svetogorsk».

5. Pedestrian checkpoint «Ivangorod».

Foreign citizens who have arrived to the Russian Federation with e-visas have the right to freedom of movement within the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation which they entered with the exception of territories, organizations and facilities to enter which
 a special permission is required in accordance with federal laws of the Russian Federation.

E-visa holders should leave the territory of the Russian Federation only through checkpoints of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation which they entered.

Foreign citizens who have arrived to the Russian Federation with e-visas are required to have a medical insurance valid in the Russian Federation for the entire period of stay.

Transport companies can check the validity of e-visas of passengers at evisacheck.kdmid.ru

An application must contain full and valid data. Any incorrect information, including passport data and photo, could cause visa rejection or revocation of an already issued visa at the state border checkpoint of the Russian Federation.
