Today Ambassador Anatoly Antonov paid tribute to the Soviet soldiers who perished in Alaska during World War II. A solemn unveiling ceremony of new headstones at their graves took place at Fort Richardson National cemetery. Ambassador thanked Virginia Walker, Cemetery Director at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, for her efforts in preserving our common legacy.
